Menu tools and their functionalities

File Menu

Open File: You can click this menu to play a local multimedia file on you computer. Easy TV Radio can play Windows Media, Real Media and Flash Media type of multimedia file formats
Open URL: You can click this menu to play an internet multimedia live stream. Easy TV Radio will try to automatically detect the format but for better results you can select it manually.
Options: Clicking this menu will open options window where you can save choices regarding how the software works.
Exit: Clicking this menu will close Easy TV Radio.

Options Window (Accessible thru File > Options menu)

This is the options window. You can set preferences here.

When Applications starts, display: Easy TV Radio can remember the state of the application when closed. If you select "Remember where I was" option then it will show you exactly the same position of channel list when you closed the application. You can also set it to show the "TV", "Radio" or "Favorite" channel list at startup.
Video Size: The video shown in Easy TV Radio can either be in its original size or can fit the window. You can select the options to remember accordingly.
Remember Volume: If you want to have the same volume level each time you start Easy TV Radio then check this option.
Remember channel list visibility: If you do not want to show the channel list each time Easy TV Radio starts then you can hide the channel list and check this option.
Check automatically for database update: If you want Easy TV Radio to automatically check for updated database at startup, then check this option. You can manually check for database update from "Help" > "Check for database update" menu.
When minimized go to system tray: To save the taskbar space Easy TV Radio can be minimized to system tray. This is specially useful if you are listening to a music channel.
Load random skin at startup: For visual pleasure Easy TV Radio comes with many skins. If you want to see a different skin every time you start Easy TV Radio then you can check this option. The default skin is "Calmness" > "Calmness". You can manually select a skin from the "Skins" menu.

Click the ok button to apply the changes.

Channels Menu

Play/Pause: Clicking this menu will Play or Pause the selected channel. You can achieve the same functionality by clicking "Play/Pause" button on the quick access bar located at the bottom left of the screen. The shortcut key for this function is F5.
Stop: Clicking this menu will stop the selected channel. You can achieve the same functionality by clicking "Stop" button on the quick access bar located at the bottom left of the screen.
Mute: Clicking this menu will mute the sound of Easy TV Radio. You can achieve the same functionality by clicking the "Speaker" icon at the bottom left of the screen.The shortcut key for this function is F2.
Search channels: Click this menu will open search window where you can search for channels. The shortcut key for this function is Ctrl + F.
Information: Clicking this menu will show you information about the selected channel.
Report bad link: Sometimes due to poor internet connection or some other reason a channel is not available, when this happens, an error message is displayed. If the channel is not available for span of few days then it might be concluded that either the channel does not work any more or the some property of the channel has been changed. We request to report such channels to us so that we can investigate and update the database.
Add to favorite: If you frequently play a TV or Radio station then it would be easier for you to add that channel in Favorite list for easy access. Clicking this menu will add the selected channel to Favorite list. Only "TV" and "Radio" channels can be added as favorite.
Add your own channel: You can add your own channel by clicking this menu. The new channel will be added in Favorite list.
Rename: You can rename a channel in Favorite list. This options is available only for channels in Favorite list.
Delete: You can delete a channel from Favorite list. This options is available only for channels in Favorite list.

Search Window (Accessible through Channels > Search channels menu)

This is the Search window. Here you can search for a TV or Radio channel. You can search a text contained either in Name or Category of the channel. To play a channel, select it and click "Play Channel" button. You can also double click channel name to play it.

Add Channel Window (Accessible thru Channels > Add your own channel menu)

This is the Add Channel window. Here you can add your own channels. The new channel will be added in Favorite list. "Name" and "URL" are required. Easy TV Radio will automatically try to detect the Media Type of the channel but some times it is not possible to do so. If this happens then Easy TV Radio will treat the channel Media Type as Windows Media. You can override this by selecting the Media Type manually.

View Menu

Television Channels: Click this menu to view television channels list.
Radio Channels: Click this menu to view radio channels list.
Favorite Channels: Click this menu to view television channels list.
Original Size: Click this menu to view TV channel video in its original size.
Original Size: Click this menu to fit the TV channel video.
Full Screen: Click this menu to view the TV channel video in full screen. This option is available only when the video is playing. To exit the full screen click the "Esc" button on your keyboard.
Show/Hide Channel List: Click this menu to toggle the visible state of channel list. This functionality can also be achieved by clicking "Show/Hide List" button at the bottom center of the screen.

Skins Menu

For visual pleasure Easy TV Radio comes with many skins which can be applied to the application. You can select the skin of you liking by clicking its name. The default skin is "Calmness" > "Calmness".

Tools Menu

Easy TV Radio requires Windows Media Player, Real Player (Optional) and Flash Player (Optional) to play all the channels. Windows Media Player, Real Player and Flash Player are free fully functional software. If you do not have them then you can download them by clicking these menu.

Help Menu

Help Contents: Clicking this menu will open up this help file.
